ABOUT HANNAH

With a recent nomination in the Young Performer of the Year category at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, this 20 year old powerhouse vocalist is excited to share her newest album "Christmas Don't Be Late." Hannah Thomas began her early days in musical theatre at The Stratford Festival of Canada, The Grand Theatre London and with Drayton Entertainment. She quickly found her specialty in her mid teens with pop and contemporary music and has never looked back. Her musical highlights include: singing to a top 10 finish at The Shot Canada, opening for Canadian musician Alan Doyle with the Magna Hoedown's top 10 finalists, performing for 2 seasons with Juno award winning artists at Stratford Summer Music, and working with accomplished Folk Artist Dayna Manning, who produced her newly nominated Christmas album (Engineered by Juno winner John “Beetle” Bailey, and arranged by Stratford Festival accomplished musician Ben Bolt-Martin)

In the Spring of 2020, Hannah began "Dock Music," a Sunday night summer concert series performed on her family dock along the Avon River in Stratford. This began as a way to bring happiness to the community during the pandemic and has progressed into an eagerly anticipated event, enjoyed by hundreds, weekly.

“Just Sing” dock mural

This gorgeous mural created by Stratford artist Claire Scott, sets the stage for Dock Music...my annual Sunday night concert series (June - August).

This mural represents the connection between art, music and community...and how it brings us all together.

how Dock Music Started...

In the spring of 2020, I recognized how much my community needed a boost of positivity, so I decided to start a music event, hosted by myself, that gave my city something to look forward to. The event is called “Dock Music” and is a weekly event held at 7pm every Sunday night. The summer concert series is held outdoors, performed and hosted by myself on my family dock along the Avon River in Stratford. People bring lawn chairs and sit across the river on the shoreline, to allow for social distancing, and for people who are not able to attend the event in person, each hour-long performance is live-streamed on Facebook. Dock Music has now progressed into an eagerly anticipated summer event, enjoyed by hundreds, weekly.
